Joe Sullivan writes, "Yet for me the rewards of having someone of Bill Haslam’s caliber as governor outweigh the risks of a temporary dislocation of city government."
Question, is the Metro Pulse free with a cup of coffee at Pilot?
We appear to be in a journalism black hole today. Nothing except PR can escape.

"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."
Haslam has been a breath of fresh air...
IMHO, Bill Haslam has truly been a breath of fresh air for Knoxville. Other than Minvilla, I can't think of anything on which I have disagreed with the Mayor. The Mayor has been his own man and has championed downtown Knoxville as everyone's neighborhood...even putting his money where his mouth is with regard to the downtown theatre. His appointments, including Bill Lyons, Madeline Rogero, Bob Key and Sterling Owen have been excellent. He has even bucked party ideology with his support of Bloomberg's mayors against illegal guns.
In short, Mayor Haslam has delivered for Knoxville and his accomplishments should not be overlooked just because his a moderate Republican.
Regards,
Bill Pittman
