Despite snow and ice in the higher elevations yesterday for the first day of Spring (and another possible freeze warning for tonight) it appears the worst is behind us.

I suppose we still have Dogwood Winter, Blackberry Winter and some other "winters" (?) to endure, but overall it's looking nice. The Redbuds are as pretty as I can remember seeing them in a while. (My Dad always said when the Redbuds are blooming the crappie are biting.) Everything else is busting out all over our yard, too. Hope the Dogwoods do as well this year.

Very nice. I miss redbuds, dogwoods, wildflowers, songbirds, bright green Spring growth, Fall colors, real grass, and real dirt living here in Florida. However I don't miss freezing temps. Might just buy some long johns and head back that way.

You'll need the long johns,

You'll need the long johns, but at least not right now.

I miss warm weather in January, palm trees, tropical flowers, the ocean, the crazies, but not palmetto bugs.
