Because they bend over their pages!
Seriously, though, with Larry Craig (R-Own Private Idaho) now outed and his suspected predation in the Congressional Page Program back in the news, I suspect there will be new calls to end the page program.
As you might remember, right after the Mark Foley (Formerly R-Fla.) scandal blew up, so to speak, Representative Ray LaHood (Retiring R-Ill.) proposed doing away with the program altogether. I believe this was an overreaction then and would be now. After all, even after LaHood presided over President Clinton’s impeachment for lying about having sex with a White House intern, he did not propose doing away with the White House Internship Program. Nor did Senator Craig.
I believe that a Republican scandal requires a Republican solution: Let’s look to the free market for the answer. Perhaps LaHood is right that, after a busy regimen of canceling habeas corpus and legalizing torture, the annual offering of well-fed, freshly scrubbed American teen flesh is simply too tempting for the pent-up lusts lurking in the Republican caucus. But, instead of trashing the program, why not simply outsource it to a more appropriate supplier? Why not tap the resources of Hooters girls and Chippendale guys to perform the tasks most demanded by the denizens of Capitol Hill--namely, filing papers, fetching coffee, and bringing congressmen and senators to completion between votes?
I think we can all agree that there’s no reason to junk a longstanding and honorable Washington program when the magic of the free market can provide such an obvious--and satisfying--solution.

I see on the news tonight
I see on the news tonight where this guy is saying he's not gay and that he apologizes for pleading guilty to lewd gay acts, which was his only mistake (pleading guilty, that is, not soliciting gay sex in a bathroom).
It's a good thing there isn't a Blue Dress, or his Republican pals would presumably be trying to remove him from office.
At any rate, this latest Gay Republican episode brings out a number of points.
• Too bad someone has to apologize for the even the appearance of a suggestion that he might be gay
• Too bad some some gay people have to meet in bathrooms to find dates, because society doesn't accept them anywhere else
• Too bad closet gay Republicans work harder to vilify other gay people than they do to protect other gay people's rights so they don't have to deny they are gay or sulk around in bathrooms, and too bad gay Republicans fight so hard for a Constitutional amendment to prevent gay couples from having the same equal protections under the law as straight couples, protections Gay Republican U.S Senators apparently don't need because they are, you know, Senators.
It's all very confusing to the children, I'm sure.
Because they bend over their
Old joke in my house. Dan Crane used to be the family dentist.

video FOR EVERYONE TO CONTACT MEDIA TO BOYCOTT MCCAIN
Here is a video I did - I want everyone to contact the media and tell them to BOYCOTT McCain's campaign until Palin does interviews and takes questions from reporters!!
The McCain campaign had announced today that Palin will NOT do any interviews nor take questions from now all the way through the election!
That is OUTRAGEOUS!!
Please watch the video and lets get something going - rate and comment so it will get seen by more people!
