Commissioner DeFreese is on the hunt for arsenic at the the Knox County Green Waste Natural Resource Recovery facility in Solway.

Defreese and Lumpy went out yesterday to observe collection of some soil samples. She files her account on the Knox County Commission chat board, which includes the disclosure that "I did have a hidden audio digital recorder on my person." There's some six degrees of subterfuge involving Mayor Ragsdale, too.

When Victoria is not wearing her lace dress, she looks strikingly like NBC's Andrea Mitchell.

umm, if she is going to this facility in her capacity as a commissioner, with Lambert, I believe those recordings are subject to open records law.

can we voice to text those recordings over to the Commission message board so that it goes on their permanent record?

update: well, looks like she provided a partial transcript. Would love to see the unedited...

The time on the fax was after the time of the meeting, though, prompting humorous remarks at Knoxville Talks.

Also, the state law specifically provides for two or more commissioners to visit a project site. Don't know why all the drama about open meetings.

Don't know why all the drama about open meetings.

That's easy. It's to show the public how hard, hard, HARD it is for the poor Commissioners to have to work under such onerous conditions. That a) justifies why they broke the law to begin with and b) sets them up to lobby the state legislature to change it.
