Chicago is my kind of town lyrics...
An exciting event. Can't wait to vote for Harris/Walz.
So many keep talking about the 1968 convention, as if it would be a comparison to 2024. Why not reference the successful, calm 1996 convention in Chicago?

Pretty good first night. I
Pretty good first night. I can't believe I stayed awake for the whole thing. Hillary was great as was Steve Kerr. Many others did a wonderful job, including President Joe Biden, AOC, Ashley Biden, Jasmine Crockett, and all the union representatives. We are so lucky Joe Biden ran for president in 2020 and won. Where would we be now if the orange man had won?

It appears Tennessee has a better seating location at this convention.
Tennesse State Rep. Justin
Tennesse State Rep. Justin Pearson spoke/preached during tonight's roll call.
The roll call was well done.
Practically brought tears to my eyes.
Loved how they played music for each state, usually based on someone from that state or about that state. Kansas for Kansas. Tom Petty, won't back down for Florida. Prince for Minnesota. Dolly's 9 to 5 for Tennessee. James Brown for South Carolina. And more.
Kamala Harris popped in for a moment remotely from a rally in Milwaukee. She really drew a crowd there.
Isn't it ironic
(in reply to bizgrrl)
That Kamala could draw more people to a Milwaukee rally than Republicans could bring for their convention. I guess it's hard to get people to show up for four days for excuses and false narratives. I noticed Kinzinger is calling them out for being a cult. I'm glad I stood up and called them out as terrorists when I first caught them. It's what they are and what they should be held accountable for being. Hopefully, the local Republican Party can clean up it's act.
Didn't watch after the roll
Didn't watch after the roll call last night, except for Bernie a bit. Recaps sound like it was a great evening

Here is a link via X/Twitter to a video of TN State Rep. Justin Pearson during the roll call last night. Someone added a little organ music to his speech. Shows U.S. Rep Steve Cohen as well. It is rumored the Tennessee 3 will speak sometime during the convention.
