Among those I remember hearing raving about Harold Ford, Jr., some at length, more than once:

Chris Matthews, J.C. Watts, James Carville, Barak Obama, Don Imus.

One CNN reporter did a report on the race and said something to the effect of "Corker won a Senate seat, but Ford has established himself as a political rock star."

Conversely, Corker seems to be damaged goods nationally, especially if he doesn't show more as Senator than he did as candidate. The only commentary I heard about him (other than that he won) was how nasty the campaign was and how much of his own money he spent.

That is an excellent point

That is an excellent point that I didn't even pick up on last night while surfing 6 channels. No one, on any network, had anything to say about Corker but numerous positive comments were made about Jr.

Corker Damaged goods

Corker is damaged goods and the country will see what a shallow Senator he is. He will not have his Chattanooga cronies around to lie cheat and steal for him. The country will see what a bunch of fools that put that crook in office. He pulled more double deals here in Chattanooga and god knows what he will do with his Senatorial power. Warning to all in this country.... Watch Out he'll pick the hair off your heads and the skin off your bones to make a buck for himself!

Yep, he sucks pretty bad.

Yep, he sucks pretty bad. We're going to have to commit to bird-dogging everything he does, and calling his staff, writing letters to the editor, etc. At least there are finally some checks in the Congress to stop his ilk from getting away with whatever it's big enough to do.

Look at the difference

Look at the difference between the returns in Corker's home county compared to the huge numbers Jr rolled up in Shelby. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Corker from the people who know him best.

Jr. may have accomplished

Jr. may have accomplished more in defeat than Corker will in office. The Republicans focussed so much time and money into trying to defeat Ford. Less attention was spent on many of the other key campaigns. You could say Ford took one for the team.
