Two recent pieces in the KNS McPaper have referred to the Baptist Hospital redevelopment as the South Waterfront Project, as if that one project is all there is.

They are giving short shrift to the great progress being made over there, including the already started and completed River's Edge apartments on Island Home, the realignment of Island Home and the riverwalk across the street from the apartments, the new businesses popping up on Sevier Ave., and other developments I'm probably forgetting.

Not to mention the city's expansive new Suttree Landing Park, one of the nicest (if not the nicest) waterfront parks in the Knoxville area.

There's a lot going on in South Knoxville and elsewhere in the area. Maybe it's hard to see from the McPaper HQ over in Nashville.

I'm still frustrated that they seemingly had to be told Knox County had just finished reappraising property--and on every Tennessee county's longstanding schedule of doing so every four years.

Their story appeared exactly seven days after the reappraisal notices were mailed out to property owners, you'll recall.

If they were a "weekly," that would be one thing, but their claim is that they're a "daily," so it must be that they have too few staff left to meet the deadlines we'd expect a "daily" to meet???
