This will set off what is sure to be an interesting chain of events - both in terms of who will be appointed to Brown's seat, and in the jockeying for the vice-mayor nod by at least half of Council.

This is a simple economic decision, look at the money and

the perks thrown his way as a judicial commissioner compared to being a city council person and the mayor took the cars away anyway.

Brown could easily run for Sessions Judge from this position and he might be contemplating do that.
