Yikes! Did you know the Obama family doesn't have a pet at home?

The American Kennel Club wants to help. You can vote for the breed of dog is best for the Obama family.

Of course, I'm a little (a lot) partial to the Miniature Schnauzer.

As I recall, I read that the Obama girls were all for this president thing if it meant they could get a dog.

Personally, of the choices given, I vote for the poodle, standard size.

Curious about the McCain

Curious about the McCain menagerie listed in this story -- since he lives in DC, and has pretty much been on the road running for president for the past decade, how can these bozos draw any kind of conclusion about his sense of responsibility based on how he treats his pets? He probably sees more of his wife (who lives in Phoenix) on the campaign trail than he did at home, since they live in two different places. I doubt he sees any more of his animals than he does his wife, unless she totes them around on the McCain plane (which she certainly could, since she's paying for it).

I'm sort of appalled that any news agency wastes resources on this kind of survey or this kind of story.

*The Obamas should rescue a dog from a shelter -- make a statement, save a life.
