Former Knox County Republican Chair, Brian Hornback outed himself this weekend in a FB dialog as he posted that he's now in talks with third parties.

Hornback also provided a run down of why he lost his EC race last month --

Brian Hornback's post stated, "I was outspent $10,000 for State Executive Committee. My opponent did direct mail, yard signs and a billboard near an "adult entertainment" establishment.

I am an Independent Republican meaning I deign to think for myself and do not kow tow to the establishment, that is why I am currently being recruited by third parties, because I spent no money and did not campaign at all and got 40% of the vote in the 6th district. Had I decided to campaign I would have carried 70% of the vote. I used that race for something totally different, I outed people that didn't have the intestinal fortitude to confront me."

Attached is a picture of Brian Hornback with Former Chairman of the Republican National Committee Ken Mehlman.

Pitiful. Sounds like a spoiled child.

Another irrelevant political has been

continuing to struggle for relevance in a new age.

Perhaps he'll chair Ivan Harmon's campaign for Mayor of Knoxville.

Independent Republican?

Its very trendy to call yourself an "Independent" Republican or Democrat these days.

I would like to know where Mr. Hornback disagrees with the current republican leadership on major issues?

Its one thing to say you're an "Independent", its another to actually be one... Most tea party types I know label themselves as Independent. More accurately, most are just extreme Republicans.

Certainly, Mr. Hornback could be an independent, as he states. I just have not seen any proof.

Yeah, unfortunately

Yeah, unfortunately "Independent" has become a meaningless buzzword.

Bingo. "I'm being recruited

Bingo. "I'm being recruited by third parties" is a Hornbackian way of saying, "I'm considering declaring myself for the Tea Party movement." Or, the Brian's Blog Team is encouraging him to go rogue. He is a very strange guy.

Brian's Blog Team

Blogger.com reports that Brian's Blog has only received 2,345 profile views in its almost 2 1/2 years of blogging existence. That's about 2.5 views per day. Could that be Brian Hornback himself reading blogs about Brian Hornback himself?

Huh?

I think the bigger question is, why the hell is this a post, and who the hell cares about Brian Hornback and his endeavors with third parties?
