A Mar. 15 KNS headline says gas prices are lower ("Knoxville gasoline prices edge lower"). Whereas, a WVLT headline says gas prices are up ("Knox gas prices up more than 4 cents per gallon").
Is it all in the interpretation? Or the headlines writers? Or the sources?
That's one problem with the Internets. There is a lot of information and it is up to the reader to determine what source to use.

It seems that there are a few
It seems that there are a few things that could play into this. (Disclosure: I work for WVLT)
1) KNS story sources AAA Fuel Gauge Report, which covers "Knoxville Area." Look through the fuel gauge report, and you'll see that by "Knoxville Area," it seems AAA means the Knoxville-Metro area.
2) The WVLT story comes from GasBuddy.com, and refers to Knoxville, rather than the Knoxville area.
3) The AAA Fuel Gauge Report that KNS sources, actually shows an increase in fuel prices in the Knoxville area. (Unless I'm reading this wrong, the AAA report shows a 5 cent increase in regular over last week.)
EDIT: The lead in the KNS story appears to be a Sunday-to-Monday, one-day-to-the-next comparison. In which case, average gas prices did "dip" -- by $0.001/gal., according to the Fuel Gauge Report. The GasBuddy.com story on the WVLT Web site is a same-time-last-week comparison. Hope that helps.

Why post an article based only on an overnight or weekend price movement of less than a cent?
