A real, honest-to-God nashville recording studio -- Dualtone, the same outfit that's releasing the Redstate UPdate CD -- is redoing John's CD and releasing it this summer. Here's a promo they've put on Youtube. I really, really like it. You'll see some familiar faces here, and one that might surprise you.

Hey, thanks for sharing

Hey, thanks for sharing this. I particularly like the idea that the tapes have been translated into the "Arabian" language.

This is great, Bean, I hope you get a chance to meet the Red State boys! Or make an appearance as Dunlap's aunt from the big city...

I first heard of these tapes

I first heard of these tapes in conversations with Tom Jester that involved alcohol. Great stuff. Glad they are getting some "proper" attention.

Arabian, is that anything like those horses?

cool

First heard it up in Morristown @ Tim's Market across the street from Davey Crockett's Tavern.Goes without saying that Tim's Market was home to the Davey Dog.

Out in the parking lot drinking more beer than the law allows we all sat around and listened to the tape...laughed our asses off.

One good ole boy allowed that he heard from a cousin of a sheriff's deputy that these were stolen FBI wiretaps.
