County health departments across East Tennessee are offering free flu shots today, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025.
THE WATE article includes a list of health department sites offering free flu shots today with addresses and times.
The Tennessee Department of Health recommends that everyone six months of age and older get a flu vaccine every year. Flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, and can prevent serious complications that can result in hospitalization and even death.
A flu vaccine is the best way to help prevent flu and its potentially serious complications.
Remember that the flu vaccine not only protects you, but it also can help protect those around you.
I'm a little surprised there is such a strong promotion to get a vaccine from the State of Tennessee.

Covid Shots?
Is Glernn Jacobs denying seniors access to covid shots this year? His misinformation and disinformation about the disease have allowed it to be continued as a biological agent weaponized against the community. RSV and MMR vaccines should be available to our citizens as well. It's the ethical duty of the Head of the Health Depoartment to make sure ALL vaccines are available to ALL citizens. It's past time we quit weaponing deadly diseases here.
