There have been a few instances in Middle Tennessee where people have tried to vote for a certain candidate but the voting machine shows they selected a different candidate.
Even Stella Parton reports a problem with voting, “In Tennessee last week at the Hermitage Library where I voted, I had to go back three times and correct my vote because it kept defaulting to Marsha Blackburn,” Stella wrote on Facebook."
When we were voting in Blount County there was one voting volunteer that kept hurrying people along when they were getting ready to turn over the voting slip. You should take the time to review the voting slip to ensure the candidates you voted for are the candidates listed on your voting slip.
Be aware. Take your time. Don't let anyone hurry you along. Report any problems you encounter.

I am confused
What is the voting slip? Does the Hermitage Library employ a-
dial/vote machine or what?
Here, I place my filled ballot into the ballot scanner and

Thanks, now I get it (my processing is slow these days)
wrt to the other voting incidents,
my good friend who is Pres of LWV/Chattanooga informed:
I did see a report from WSM out of Nashville.
Mark Goins is the Administrator of elections for the state
and he says the changes (if they really occurred) were the result of the voters inadvertently touching the wrong box on the voting machine.
In Davidson and Williamson Counties touch screens are used to generate a paper ballot which is then scanned into a machine that counts the vote.
So the "slip" referred to is the paper ballot generated by the touch screen.
I guess Knox and Hamilton Counties are more low tech, letting us mark our own paper ballots and then scanning those.
Seems like a preferable system but I've seen folk screw up even with the self marked system.
I've emailed the state League president to get her take on this. She lives in Davidson County.
