Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., 51, "accused the former special counsel Jack Smith of lying under oath during Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing after claiming messages showed Smith attended an Atlanta Hawks game in Atlanta in February 2024."
He accused Smith of perjury and called Smith a dirtbag.
However, "Smith had actually been watching the Iowa Hawkeyes play in Maryland."
“He brought this on himself and deserves the obloquy,” Hume, 83, wrote on X, as reported by Mediaite.
Schmitt continues to double down. It's a little scary. The lies continue throughout the GOP and they are not held accountable. The right wing media airs the lies but not always the correct stories. This is how many Americans decide their votes.

Eric Schmitt defends mix-up
Eric Schmitt defends mix-up that led to viral gaffe during Jack Smith’s hearing.
“I didn’t know he was a Caitlin Clark fan. Now we know,” said the Missouri
Duh. But, but... wha?!?! There's women's basketball too??? Sputter. Sputter.
Jack Smith's a white Republican, you know.
(in reply to bizgrrl)
Therefore he's only allowed to like white Republican male things. Apparently, Kaitlyn Clark isn't on that list.
