Now that we are retired, we have a little practice at staying home and doing nothing. In addition to Netflix/Prime/etc. (which you will soon tire of and they rot your brain anyway), here are some other pastime tips for the recently home bound (unless you are supposed to be working, of course, and if you are thank you!).
Ebooks: If you have a library card (they're easy to get and free), libraries in Blount and Knox counties have free access to thousands and thousands of online e-books. You will need a library card number and a pin. (If you don't have a pin, call the library and they'll give you one.) Knox County provides free access to the Overdrive ebook/audiobook library here. Blount County and other library systems around the state partner with the Tennessee R.E.A.D.S program to provide free access to Overdrive here.
If you don't already have one, you will need an e-reader. You can use a Kindle (about $90, highly recommended), or you can download an app for your tablet. (You can get a Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet on sale right now for about $50). Overdrive provides an app called Libby, or you can download the Kindle app.
Streaming Music: You can listen to virtually all the recorded music in the world on just about any device. For most people, Spotify is all you need. There's a limited free tier with commercials, or an unlimited "premium" subscription for $10/month ($15/mo. for a family plan). Tidal and Qobuz are good options for "audiophiles" or others with fancy stereo/home theater setups. All these services offer a free trial. You can also try apps like TuneIn or I Heart Radio to listen to live radio broadcasts and podcasts from all over for free.
Crosswords: Your daily newspaper (if you still subscribe) has crossword puzzles that will keep you occupied and help stimulate brain activity. There are also online crosswords you can access using your laptop or tablet. Washington Post has a free archive. (You just have to watch a short commercial to start). Crosswords and other puzzles are also available for free at USA Today and AARP.
Jigsaw puzzles:Jigsaw puzzles are fun, challenging timewasters with a satisfying sense of accomplishment once you finish. Available just about everywhere, or order online from Amazon, Target, or specialty stores. Tip: start off with easier ones, like 300 pieces. A rollup mat is also a handy accessory.
Hobbies: There are about a million hobbies you could take up. Arts, crafts (I'm dabbling with candle making), writing, learning to play a musical instrument, etc., or gardening when it gets a little warmer.

Unfortunately, Blount Co.
Unfortunately, Blount Co. Library is closed as of yesterday until further notice. If you don't already have a library card you will have to wait. Last we heard, Knox Co. Library is still open but with limited services. You may still be able get a card, don't know.
Worst case, you can always order Kindle ebooks. There are a bunch priced at 99 cents, but they are hit or miss. If you are a Prime member there is a free lending library.
