"The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip," Trump said in a White House press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We'll own it ... We have an opportunity to do something that could be phenomenal ... the Riviera of the Middle East."

Trump aides defend Gaza takeover proposal but walk back some elements.
"At a White House briefing on Wednesday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt hailed his Gaza proposal as historic "outside of the box" thinking but stressed that the president had not committed to putting "boots on the ground" in the territory. She declined, however, to rule out the use of U.S. troops there.
At the same time, Leavitt walked back Trump's earlier assertion that Gazans needed to be permanently resettled in neighboring countries, saying instead that they should be "temporarily relocated" for the rebuilding process."

Where all of those college student protesters now? Are they not concerned about the Palestinians getting kicked out of their country? They hurt Harris in the 2024 election. Are they afraid of Trump? Were they organized just to hurt Harris?

The short answer, yes.
The pro-Trump (and locally Elaine Davis) movements by the Palestineans had it's roots in anti-semitism and was backed by Hamas in order to continue a worldwide terror movement that includes the destruction of the American economy. I highly recommend this book as background as tactics have been largely successful, thanks to Trump anf the same playbook is being employed. Hamas, and by extension, all aspects of Palestine under their control are simply extensions of a radical fundamentalist terror strategy designed to realign the world's power structure. Bradley Reeves at the Tellico Plains Museum has my tape of my radio show after 9-11 cross referencing this. When terrorists rule, innocent people die.

(in reply to fischbobber)
That was the PLO. It took Arafat almost 45 years to gain legitimacy on the world stage to the point where Israel would be forced to negotiate as equals instead of dictating terms. By electing Hamas, Palestine ended up voting against it's own sovereignty. Nothing that happens in America will determine the Palestinean outcome, regardless of which side you are on. As Americans, fighting over traking sides in this conflict is about as dumb as it gets. These dice get rolled by someone else.
Chauncey Gardiner was much
Chauncey Gardiner was much more qualified than this dictator or any of his cabinet picks. Trump's lies and corruption are ignored by most of the media and there is an obvious double standard. Biden or Obama or Bush would never have been allowed to take the illegal actions Trump has taken. The media and courts and the American people would never have stood for the kind of disregard for our laws and Constitution that Trump is showing. There would have been a revolt against such outrageous actions. The way Trump is ignoring the courts and dismantling the Constitution would never have been tolerated from any other President in our history. The only hope of maybe slowing down his fascist actions is the SCOTUS. Actually, the SCOTUS with its 6 worthless justices, is our only hope of surviving 4 years of torture. All Americans need to protest and demand that this wannabe dictator observes our Constitution and the laws our Congress enacted. Hopefully the courts will listen to Americans that want to keep our democracy. The gutless Republicans in Congress that are supporting his constitutional dismantling need to be stopped. The courts need to defend our Constitution and the DOJ needs to enforce our laws.
