After administering two doses of a lethal drug, the execution failed.

The prisoner was alive and loudly snoring after the attempted lethal injection and taken by ambulance from the prison, her attorneys said. She was being treated at a hospital, but they said they hadn’t been told about her condition.

That the state spent $525,000.00 for the drugs in this botched execution.

The lethal injections were introduced because of electric chair failures. The current Republican administration, while adept at murdering innocent citizens and children via execution of policy, are incapable of executing a convicted murderer because apparently so many people have their fingers in the til, there's not enough money left to actually hire someone who knows what their doing. The ironies run deep in this one.

It's not they can't hire someone who knows what they're doing, it's that real medical doctors won't bypass the Hippocratic oath and kill someone at the order of the state.
