I couple of days ago, someone put up a poll about which knucklehead would file a federal suit to block the appointments replacing the term-limited office holders. I didn't vote because the one person I thought might do it was Herb Moncier and he wasn't on the list. Then I thought he wouldn't do it because what reason would he have.
I was wrong. He did. WVLT story

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Moncier was right all along about Hutchinson being term limited. You may love Moncier or hate him, but he was right. The State Supreme Court just backed up his claim. I personally don't agree with his latest suit calling for a special election before the 2008 election cycle because as Sam Venable so elequebntly stated in the paper yesterday, "it's all unnecessary. You see, a vote has already been taken. It was the Knox County general election, held Aug. 3...".
Screw it. We can all sit
Screw it. We can all sit here and blog till 08’ about how we should vote these people out. But people that are pissed about this whole mess are in the minority, and these chodes are banking on low voter turnout. I don’t agree with everything Herb has done in the past, but he will keep the torch burning long after the media’s flame has fizzled out about this appointment mess. I say fight the slime fire with…fire.

What kind of lawsuit is this?
Knoxville (WVLT) - New developments in the term limits issue.
Knoxville attorney Herb Moncier filed suit in federal court to stop all appointments next week.
The motion is based on a lawsuit of former Knox County Sheriff's Office employee Carl Seider, who ran for sheriff.
Seider says in his lawsuit the sheriff's office paid him too much money.
I don't understand either the purpose or the legal basis. Is Herb on autopilot?
